As we strive to spread God's Word to every nation and every tongue, it's important that preachers and teachers are developed from within the communities we're trying to reach. Local advocates for Christ have the experience and knowledge needed to connect with the lost souls of their communities.
Throughout the world, missionaries are working hard to train local leaders. However, many programs lack the resources needed to provide copies of the Bible to each student.
Today I ran across an effort to rectify this problem. A pastor from Michigan is organizing a program that will deliver a personal copy of the ESV Study Bible to every new student at the Back to the Bible Training College in Barberton, South Africa. Seems like a good idea to me.
